Took a nostalgic trip to Charles County today and we had a great time. First stop was the Pomonkey soccer field which is now the Pomonkey Soccer Complex (complex meaning that they had a couple fields).
Historic house of General Smallwood.
parking lot facing east (Army Reserve center in the background.
Back of the church building.
A drive down memory lane (actually Coastal Blvd).
Video link to drive to our old house.
Video of Ford Terrace (to Peppers' house).
Next stop was Judy's Dance Studio in LaPlata. The building is still there and is currently available for rent.
The courthouse field was next. The fire station is no longer across the street. The filed is being renovated.
Here's a video of the field.
Milton Somers Middle School is next where Kris, Kirk, and Kari attended.
Here's a video of Somers.
Next is James Craik where Kari, Karl, and Kellie attended.
McDonough High school where Kirsten, Kris, and Kirk attended.
And finally the building that was the video store.

Was the drive-thru liquor store/gas station still there? I have fond memories of walking up to the window on my way to work and asking for $5 on pump 4.
ReplyDeleteCrazy how I don't remember the front of our house, I know work was done, but still. :)
It was actually a gray blue color not white.
DeleteSo was that your tree?
not sure! I can't tell which direction it was...
DeleteAnd that liquor store/gas station was still there!
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe that James Craik Tigers mat is still outside the school building! I remember walking on that every single day! The house looks really good! I still maintain that I loved that house. So many good memories! It's so cool seeing these old stomping grounds again! Glad you guys are able to get out and explore some!
